Linked Process is a protocol that was founded at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The protocol is intended to foster the creation of a computing cloud whereby any device with an Internet connection can contribute and leverage the cloud for general-purpose computations. This presentation will briefly discuss the mechanics of the protocol, an implementation of the protocol, and some application areas that can benefit from its use.
