I think that you are right, that is what will happen in practice more then anything.  There will be a Santa Fe group, and an ABQ group and the people that attend each will be different for the most part, though I think(and hope) there will be some overlap.  Personally I think it will be easier to keep up with if there is 1 Ignite NM website / twitter account etc (easier for me at least). 
 
I love the idea of Ignite Rail Runner!

I recommend a parallel IgniteABQ to IgniteSF rather than joining....  
 
This is not to say that sfIgniters wouldn&#039;t support/attend/speak IgniteABQ! but rather that keeping local-Identity keeps it personal and interesting. 
 
If IgniteABQ can get a venue close to the RailRunner, all the better! 
 
We could almost host IgniteRailRunner events by taking over the deck of a train-car going each way, no?
